Refurbished Swarovski's???

Has anyone bought or used refurbished rifle scopes? I found a great price on a swarovski 3-10 x 42 AV series. What does "refurbished" actually mean, and is there a difference in quality? Thanks

This is only a guess, but it might have been sent back to the factory for repairs and this is why they are calling it "Refurbished" instead of "repaired".

But mine you, this is only a guess on my part.

That is pretty much true , the warranties are the same as new so buy it if it's a good price.

The "refurbished" Swarovksi's offered by Binoculars.com are shown as having a three year warranty rather than lifetime....

Could you tell them apart from brand new ones? physically and opitcally?
