LAST EDITED ON Oct-24-08 AT 11:26PM (MST)[p]Region 6 has a whitetail surplus and Montana FWP needs hunters to thin the herds. They are offering up to 7 deer B tags per hunter. You must first purchase a 699-00 tag which costs $10 for residents and $75 for non-residents. Then you can purchase up to six 699-01 tags which cost residents $10 each and non-residents $20 each. I wish I lived closer to NE Montana. I would be filling the freezer with whitetail backstrap, sausage, and burger. Check out the Montana web site under surplus lisences with the following link.
