Same old deal. I just go to see my friends. I went on Thursday with my dad.

Terrific group of people at the convention, as is always the case. The crowds appear to be smaller. I know a lot of folks that did FNAWS last year and are doing SCI this year (since they've been back to back the last year or two). Some of the auction items have been way up, some a little off. The raffles had good participation and it seemed like everyone went nuts buying raffle tickets today.

Just have info on a few as I didn't spend a ton of time in the auctions (didn't want to risk temptation!). The below is the best notes I have. Don't count on them being exact but pretty close...

California sheep tag was way off of usual, $59K.
Colorado Rocky tag, $75K.
Colorado Mountain Goat tag, $10K.
Colorado Elk tag, $12K.
Colorado Moose tag, $17K.
El Vizcaino Biosphere Reserve, South Baja Mexico, Desert Bighorn tag, $46K.
New Mexico state tag (bidders choice of Rocky or Desert), $100K.
Nevada Desert Bighorn tag, $87,500.
Tiburon Island Desert Bighorn tag (1 of 4), $117K.
Utah Rocky tag, $43K.
Wyoming Rocky tag, $42,500.

Thanks for the info. $87,500 for Nevada is off a little from last year but still pretty good.

Here are some other prices (give or take a couple k's)

Oregon=$86,000
Washington=$51,000
Idaho=$46,000
One other Baja tag=$59,000
Arizona=$65,000
Eastern Washington Elk=$14,500

And MGD in a bottle was $3.

The Alberta Rocky Tag went for $165,000.00 ... way down this year. I believe that it saw a high of $300K a couple of years back.

Next year in Texas and the auction items should see a big increase with some new blood.
