my complaint is to both, the tag numbers last year were ridiculous, and there explanation was just like I stated before, they want to have much lower buck to doe ratios and in last years tag numbers ( especially Lincoln County where I live and hunt) it was as if they were trying to get there in one year, doubling and tripling the tag numbers from previous years. And the whole guide deal is a whole different issue. It blows my mind how much the state caters to the guides. If you were to try to hunt unit 231 now days. Good luck, its so overran with guides. From June til January. I think they should restrict the number of guides able to guide each unit, make them apply and draw for the right to hunt a unit. This post will piss a lot of ppl off, but I dont really care, thats just the reality of it. Were not quite as bad as Utah yet with all there BIG MONEY tags that they have taken away from the average hunter, but we are well on the way.. And Nevada does not have a huge mule deer herd like we once did, in fact if you look at the latest issue of Huntin Fool it shows the estimated population of the western states. Nevada is barely over 100k vs Utah 300 k, Colorado 460k Wyoming 480k, California 455k (which I never new they had that many) Oregon 216k.
