Roberts Mtn?

Anybody been on or hunted this range?

There are less wild horses than in the,Cortez mnts, but the deer herds aren't much better, both areas have some deer but not a whole bunch of them. Winter range is somewhat lacking.

Lots of roads, one goes to the top.
Saw several bucks each day.

Hunted it twice 1999 and 2001 very few deer spent 2 days hunting and 1 day scouting in sept during muzz hunt. Saw 2 forked horn bucks and about 10 does and fawns. Had much better luck on the diamonds.

went there in 08 buddy had a 25 inch 4x4 on ground in 15 min of turning off highway. His first deer. Didnt have to hunt which was bummer.we turned around and went home glad he got a good buck

I know there was a 12,000+ acre fire on that mountain a month or so ago - good luck!

Good access from 3 bars or diamond valley. That fire burned mostly p.j. which is not mule deer habitat any way? but with all the tags this year in 14 it may be crowded.
