Ruger 6.5x284

In one of the local gun shops I saw a used Ruger in 6.5x284.
It appears to be a factory barrel with the correct stamping, warning etc. It is the stainless synthetic model with the skeleton style stock with "Ruger" molded in the butt.
I did not know that this was ever offered from the factory?
Have any of you ever seen one?

yeah, I saw a tv show about that a while back. Seems it was a special deal for some Ruger family member and it accidentally got shipped to a wholesaler instead......they were offering $25K for it since it had disappeared..you did buy it, right??

I missed that TV show, but then I don't have cable!
I can buy it for about 400.
I'm going out on a limb and guessing no one has seen one?

One of my friends showed me his newest yesterday, a short barreled little Ruger 77 in 7mm saum. I was surprised they put one out in that cartridge as well.

I'd be surprised to see one in 6.5X284 as well. If i did see one that was factory...for $400., i'd probably buy it.
