Sailing off into the sunset ????

Anyone actually ever sailed off into the sunset on a real sailboat as far a EBFNW ???

Seriously thinking of taking my elderly pops on a sailing trip around the carribean on a Jeanneau SO 379 and checking out of all this crazy points nightmare in the hunting world. One more hunt some day with my 16 points in AZ for elk and then I may just never be found again

Anyone else ever been there ???

Yup, I have. Sailed my 30’ sloop in the Bahamas for a couple of years 37 years ago. More recently I helped a friend sail his 35’ sloop Fiji to Australia via Vanuatu and New Caledonia. I like the South Pacific much more than the Carib.

I had some long time friends who bought a sail boat and learned on Lake Tahoe. They bought a boat in Florida and have been sail in the Caribbean. They pull the plug and jump full time into boat life around COVID. Haven’t seen them since but they are both handy with fiber glass and I heard finding work in a ship yard is easy.
