Sand Lake Road

Has anyone traveled the Sand Lake road going North off of Hwy. 230 going North up to Sand Lake in the last few days? Just wondering how the road is?

You plan on going back ?I have been thinking about going back myself and give it another try. Snow would sure help.

Going Cow hunting starting December 7th just wondering how much snow is up there or if I need to plan on hunting lower.

The snotel site for Sand Lake is showing 31" of snow as of today, guys are snowmobiling already up there. I don't know how far up Sand Lake road you can get, but I bet it isn't too far. I think its safe to say the elk have moved down from up there.

31" of snow? I'll still be hunting that's why man made snowshoes.

They have all moved down to the flat around Centennial. Most is private.
