Sargents

I drew a Sargents elk tag in October and have never been there.
What I want to know is can I ride my horses in now with a copy of my tag or do I need a GAINS permit until October.

You are covered with either a fishing license or a copy of your tag.
I have the archery hunt there coming up in September and I called the warden in Chama and asked that very same question.He said I was covered, just have either license on hand.
