Scope mount help...

Just bought a used rifle and one of the screws holding down the weaver base mount has the head broken off. I was hoping someone on here knows of a place in the Salt Lake City area that could get it out and mount the scope properly. Thanks for any help you can give.

the way I understand it, you have a mount screw broken off in the receiver of the rifle.

If you have buddy with a some mechanical skills and he has a drill press and small broken stud removers, you could save yourself about 25-35 bucks. A gunsmith or machine shop could remove it for you if you have to go that route.

Is it just the head of the screw? If so could you remove the other screw and remove the base and possibly grab the screw with needlenose and turn it back out. If its broken off flush in the receiver then Id take it to a machine shop or gunsmith.
