Just got back. Spent four days learning the roads. Thats some big
country. We went from sun up to sun down. Went to the Indenpence mts, Tuscorora mtns parts of it, Mahoganies, desert rd to midas, Penn mts, & the loop around the Owyhee Indain Reservation back to 225. We wanted to learn the roads. We did see deer but nothing big, bedded down most of the day. The Owyhee is some big country. Thats what has our interest the most, at this time. Meet some great people at Mt City, even got some leads. my son has the late tag, so it should be fun. There is one area, we could not find a way in. I told you could access it, it is called
Nannies Peak. We spent couple hrs trying, but could not find the right road. Seen lot of cow elk, antelope, sage hens, chuckars,
coyotes. Just order the BLM & Forest Service maps, hope that helps. Fires where we were, are out. Burn a lot of country.Mike
