Scouting 2011 Part II

Went out last weekend with a good friend and turned up some awesome bucks. We got caught in the lightning storm at around 10,000 ft - fun and a little spooky!

This guy is a nice 4 point, he was only a couple hundred yards away when I spotted him.

This guy is a stellar buck, he had 6 countable points on one side and 7 on the other. He'll be way over 30 wide.

I will be after this buck on the opener. He was an absolute pig and I prefer big 4's to non-typical bucks.

This last buck bedded just a few hundred yards below us. He is a 5 x 5.

Good to see!!! Looks like it's going to be a good year. My dad and I are heading up Sunday to hike into camp. I'll keep you informed on how the hunt goes.

Holy Mother Ryan!!! Chris and I went out last weekend to our old hunting grounds and saw next to nothing. It looks as though we might have find some snowbanks. Where we hunt it's a few more miles to snowdrifts, the hike might kill me. Good Luck on your hunt.

Very nice! Looks like rubies is producing this year. Great pics. 100 % success rate on the draw there. Always include it in my choices. Tough hunt but beautiful country and lots of bucks up high
