With over 70% approving her signing the bill she made the right choice. Now the libs will try to find everyway possible to get it overturned so they can garner the votes from it. What they need to point out it's not solely about the hispanics it's about illegal immigration in all races. We have a ton of it going on with people from all over the world not just Mexico and points south. Politics isn't about doing what's right any more it's all about the vote & power and how many people can we pull the wool over their heads to get them to vote for what we want to do, not necessarily what's best. If the dems can get them legalized they'll have enough votes to stay in power for decades! Acorn made the difference in the last election and don't think they won't use their clout to get the illegals behind them now. America's a great place free health care, welfare checks, food stamps, rent subsidy's, and now you don't have to pay taxes to get these benefits and yet our tax rate is going up........

I saw that passage on the news and it gave me goosebumps just thinking about it. I think arizona is the most patriotic state in the union right now. GOD BLESS ARIZONA!

What rights? If a person is an illeagal alien they have no rights. If your talking about our rights as Americans then we should be PROUD to answer a few questions about our residency status. First of all folks, racial profiling has been going on since the begining of time. It's illeagal as well. This law will allow people to sue (easier) if they feel that their rights have been infringed upon. From what I understand if you are stopped by a law officer and they have probable cause to do so they will ask you 3 questions and it doesn't matter what your skin color is, everybody will be asked these same questions. What is your name, birth date & where were you born? Of course we all know that it is illeagal to lie to a law officer and they will verify the info that you tell them. Ya know folks I look at it one way, I can be part of the problem or part of the cure. I'm a proud American so I choose to be part of the cure and I'll support this law all the way to my grave.
I guarentee you that if I fled to China, Korea, Afganistan, Iraq, Mexico & so on & so on, I would not be treated 1/100th of a percent as good as the illeagal aliens are treated here in the U.S.A. We are being taken over and being taken advantage of. If we don't put our foot down as a state it will get out of control. The feds aren't gonna do a damn thing.

I am very aware this is a major problem. Our states budget is blown we already have over crowded jails and now we are going to fill them with dishwashers and landscape helpers?? Really? Where do people propose this additional money is going to come from to incarcerate these people? Prop 100 is coming up quickly and if voted down will cut state programs for schools, police and fire even more. I would like my local police to be focused on problems that involve my family's safety with the limited officers that remain. I don't believe tying them up with immigration paperwork really utilizes these busy officers to their full potential. This needs to be done at the federal level not state. With Federal funding! Secondly, to compare your situation in the best country in the world to how you would be treated in a third world country is like comparing apples to oranges. That is why many of them come here in the first place. Its a better place to be.

You know all you guys are great and good Americans and everything you say is correct, But you are preaching to the quire, you need to get these comment publish (Newpaper, magazine ect.) and out in the open so all can read and heed. not just the gun owners who read this website.

I wonder if AZ's government is really serious about enforcing this law or if it was just meant as a shot across the bow of the Feds to force the Feds to do something about immigration. This really is a federal issue and I don't blame AZ a bit for trying to handle it.
I can't wait to see what happens. Something has to be done to curtail illegal immigration.

Also take a peak at the number of Americans that support it. Also take another look at the other states that are wanting to do the same thing. Read the story about the Pinal county deputy sheriff that was shot by an illeagal alien transporting drugs in the desert down around Casa Grande last weekend. That of course is just one account of violence from illeagals that I'm citing because it's recent.
Now I hope that people don't think that I'm a "bigot" or a "white suprimacist" or "nazi" or any other stereotypical label out there, because I'm not. Yes I'm a white man that lives in a predominately Mexican neiborhood and I enjoy living here, shoot I've been here for 10 years, I must like it. I don't hate these people at all. Many of them are my friends, papers or not. I have personally helped many illeagals get their Green Cards and I've even helped a few become American citizens. The feeling that a veteran gets out of helping an illeagal alien become an American is unexplainable. Our familys enjoy cookouts togather and the like. Currently I'm helping a friend take the first step at getting his Green Card. This guy was gonna help me on my elk hunt last year but got scared at the very last minute and didn't come with me because he was illeagal and didn't want to risk getting caught by a Game Warden. He knows what he's doing is wrong and it bothers him. See he came from Colorado where he worked on a ranch for many years and he loved it. He went out on guided hunting trips on the ranch to help out and he got hooked on hunting just like you and I. When I told him last March that I got drawn for bull elk and asked him if he wanted to come along, he lit up like the sun. The closer the hunt came the more nervous he got and he finally backed out because he was scared. I couldn't live that way. But on the other hand I can fully understand why the Mexicans want to come over here so bad. I couldn't live in Mexico either. The way that country opperates just plain sucks. Most folks don't know how much money is sent home to their families from here. Why do you think that the Mexican Government is in no hurry to inforce their immagration laws? They want the American dollar. It makes the rich Mexican politicians richer and the poor Mexican families poorer. So I figure that if we can slow this down and other border states join in the battle to enforce these laws, then maybe, just maybe Mexico will start to change. So hopefully everybody that reads this learns that I'm not just a dumb racist redneck. I truly appriciate people and the various cultures that make America what she is. But the bottom line is that America needs to quit being so damned nice and stand up for itself. We have the most awesome people, the most awesome minds right here in the good ol' U.S.A. Now we need to stand up and be proud of who we are instead of letting people walk allover us. Damn it I'm sick and tired of it. Illeagal is ILLEAGAL!!!

We would'nt need prop 100 if such a large percentage of our tax dollar's were'nt going to pay for service's that a lot of the illegal's get for free, such as welfare, food stamp's, emergency room care, babies delivered, (stop letting them become citizens just because their momajumped across the border at the last minute. Their driver with no insurance, no license, beat up old piece of crap cars that smoke and puke and bleach out poison all day.
Plus guys its not just Mexican's how about letting the Indians get off their butts and start earning a living and paying there way. There's not a GD one of them that ever fought against the white man because someone took there land that's left alive.
So if they want a res. then let them run it and pay for there own roads across it and there own housing,hospitals,casinos.
