I suspect there are no shortage of poacher from any State, sadly true, even Utah.
I'm glad they got busted regardless of which State they call home.

+1 Zeke, my reasoning is the majority of people on this website are from UT so most of the information we see is from UT so of course it seems like most poachers are from UT. FYI I am in CO...

We been hearing a lot of stuff like this and others of big bucks getting poached. I don't even think to guess how many meat deer get poached a year. Been thinking on it some, i spent a weekend in jail back some 20 years ago, hated every second of it, i haven't had a drink of alcohol since, but being in Jail or Prison for very long is a almost unthinkable way to punish someone. Yet, the guys doing these things aren't going to stop doing them until the punishment is SO bad, it ain't worth doing. I propose:
As big a Fine as is likely to get paid.
Loss of hunting and fishing priv, 5 year minimum
Boo-Koo Community service, and
Three months minimum sentence in County Jail WITH work Furlow so the guy can get out in the morning to do his job, no job then do Community service, then back in locked up for the night.
Until there are strict Min sentences for all the States in the Pac, some bone heads are going to continue to do what they do.
