I don't have a moose tag but I thought I'd post up these pics for any of you who do. This bull was in SW WY.

To me he looks like a young bull with great potential. Based on his body size I'd guess he is a 2 year old. He just doesn't look massive and muscular to me.

Looks like the one I killed in unit 25 last year. 3 1/2 year old. 39 inches. no monster but a nice bull.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-29-12 AT 09:53PM (MST)[p]I agree with the young and great potential comment. It is unfortunate that the quality of bulls has declined over the last decade because when I hunted SW Wyoming in 95, that bull wouldn't get a look until the last few days of the hunt.
A trophy is in the eye of the beholder, but it would be nice for that bull like that to put a few more years under his belt before he bites the dust. IMO

Hey LittleBighorn, I remember that day well. Then the pack out I also remember. You shot a very nice bull and sad to say I only hope when I draw that there will be one as big as the one in this picture. Wolves are eating way to much moose meat up there now!!!

He is likely a two year old with a ton of upside.
Pass on him unless you've put in your time and it's tag soup...my .02.

That's a nice young bull, but I don't think he's close to 40". This is one that my buddy shot in Idaho in 2007 and he was 38 and change.

So Ultra,
What is the verdict with your wife's tag? Go or no go?
I also remember that day way back when and your Herculian help in getting that bad boy out. He stares me down now every time I go in my family room! Fun memory!
