I have been too lazy to pattern the heavy shot and the winchester #4 buck, but I do really like the #4 buck and its a ton cheaper. I am not very good with the shotgun from sitting on my rear...so I don't blame the loads, but I have had to shoot a few coyotes several time with the heavy shot....that can turn into a 15-20 dollar coyote real fast...ouch!...I think I am sticking with my #4 buck from winchester. Both have 54 pellets so I assume the pellets weigh about the same. It really just depends on which one patterns tighter. (I am talking about the 3.5 inch)
My remington factory turkey choke patterns that #4 buck well. (I put 5 pellets into a turkey at 90 yards)
What amount of constriction do you guys think works the best for this type of stuff? I really want to pattern both loads with a bunch of chokes, but man its tough to get up the nerve to do that.
