Southern archery deer question

I have a couple of days to spend this weekend chasing muleys. Any of you guys have any input on which southern unit to try for a buck? This is my first year hunting archery and there's not too much going on up north for me. I figure I can check out some new country and maybe see a few more deer down south. I've been down to the Boulder a couple times & the Dutton once, but was considering Beaver Mt. and the Southwest Desert unit as well, so it's really a horse apiece.

SW Desert has the highest buck to doe ratio in the state for general units, so you have better odds of seeing a buck if you can find the deer.

I hunt the Southwest desert area as well as Cedar Mtn too. The previous post is right about the highest buck to doe ratio for a general unit in the desert area but you still have to find them. I have wanted to go check out Beaver Mtn. too. Whatever you decide best of luck. I'm new to archery this year too.

Thanks. I'm used to seeing low numbers. Think I've seen about 5-6 bucks since opening day up here, only 2 shooters. Good luck on your hunt.

Beaver mountain has some big bucks, and a lot of them too. The only downfall is that their are a lot of hunters. Go during the week and you might be able to find a place to park your truck. I personally would stick to the SW desert.
