Southern Nevada Desert Bighorn Disease

LAST EDITED ON Apr-01-15 AT 03:25PM (MST)[p]Does anybody have an update on the disease found in Nevada's River Mountain, Eldorado, Spring Mountain and McCullough herds?

I see that they reopened unit 262 to non-residents this year. Does this indicate that the die off was/is not as bad as feared it would be a year ago? Has the disease spread to other populations in the Las Vegas area?

It seems that there was a big uproar and fear of huge die-offs about a year and a half ago and then no word since then.

thank goodness the sky did not fall on sheep in SO.,NV.that NDOW had predicted ? As evident from the new N.R. sheep tag in 262,again.This was the area,Cali. border that the problem diseased sheep were found.All looks better from what I have heard.Good Luck in the draw ... Bruce & SilverGrand
