LAST EDITED ON Nov-10-09 AT 01:48PM (MST)[p]Well, I guess I overstated my gross score on my deer I shot Sunday. It has a 24" inside spread, but it's left main beam is only 22 3/8" (the right beam is only 20 1/8")so according to B&C I only get 22 3/8" spread credit. That drops him down to 180 1/4". :-(
I made the mistake of using the Typical scoring sheet first and with a little over 10" of abnormal points and some variations from side to side on individual points it dropped him all the way down under 150" for a net score!
I know nets are for fish, but I'm kind of bummed about the spread credit. It seems to be cheating the deer out of his hard earned spread!
Do all of you limit yourself to the longest main beam when stating a gross score or do you count the actual inside spread when stating a gross score?
Just curious.
