I think Trump really put it in the Democrat's asses when he talked about the abortion issue. People are horrified about the recent legislation that passed and he made sure people know it is Democrats who want to murder babies.
I thought is was pretty damned funny when he said that America will never be a socialist country and Chuck and Nancy stood up for the applause while old Bernie looked like a kid that just had his favorite toy taken from him.
Aside from that, it was pretty much a standard SOTU speech. I could be wrong but it sounded like Trump got a little emotional once but I don't think he did anything stupid. The Democrat rebuttal was just more "nuh uh" with absolutely zero proposals or hint of working together. 2020 should be interesting given that the platform for Democrats is now baby killing, open borders and higher taxes.

I went to Winco early in the morning on Feb.2. I had a basket of groceries and was getting ready to check out. Two guys showed up with one item each so I let them go ahead of me. It will be a beautiful wall, one that makes us all safe from the 15 million illegals it walls in on this side.

Waiting for the SNL version. Finished my taxes last night- +1.2% over last year here in the middle class. Ran some scenarios, definitely rewarding contributions to overpopulation of the planet. You have to pick your battles sometimes and while I don't think he spent nearly as much time talking about the wall as you like to embellish, there is common ground on border security. Why am I not surprised that you're not in the 70+ % that approved of the speech?

I didn't watch it live. Just as I sat down to, my daughter called on the phone and we talked for about an hour. By the time she hung up, I realized how unimportant the speech really was in the over all scheme of my life.

Nemont has a lot in common with a used car salesman that only a fool would trust. Like a used car salesman, he will twist things to make that sale or just outright lie.
I did not, nor did Trump state that the government was going to regulate prices on meds. How about a little more of that free enterprise that Nemont like to shout about. Just opening the market where a citizen can mail order his/her drugs from out of the country would cause a price drop here just to be able to complete with those lower prices. Nemont you would do well selling used cars, maybe why you are in the market selling insurance to a class of people you really do not like. Do you get your jollies harpooning them with overpriced insurance?
