I got drawn for mulies and pronghorn in Wy. and am uncertain which gun to bring. I shoot both equally and no I don't expect you to pick for me I just am wondering since I'll be coming from n.e. Mn. should I bring my ss/syn tikka or my wood sako. Any of you experince real problems with wood rifles out west?

I don't think you will have problems with a wood stock on your hunts. It usually takes extreme weather to make a difference. I myself like the advantage of hunting daylight till dark in rain or snow, then having dinner and hitting the rack while my rfle drips dry. Stainless and synthetic add up to less maintenance. (although not maintenance free) mtmuley
