The "Strip Report" for 2012. Lets just say the new 200" is 185". No rain in May and June caused antler growth to drop 15% and bucks that were 225" last year will be lucky to get over 195". There will be bucks harvested but many will be under 190" this year and with all the rain coming in July and Aug. it is the perfect storm for the archery hunters but not in a good way. With that said we still have several bucks that will be pushing the 200" mark like this one. This huge buck we call "Jennys Buck". Why? Last year she hunted with The Cactus Bull Crew and grazzed the top of this bucks back (all on video)of course she was heart broken but we havent given up yet! Our client and hunter, Glenn Taylor will be trying to harvest this buck come Aug. 26th. to avenge last years heart break. Good luck to him and all The Cactus Bull Crew. fill free to guess what this buck will score this year. www.cactusbull.com

Nice pics of bucks. Just when everyone thought that all they had to do was draw a strip archery tag and the rest would be easy like some had it the last 2 years, here comes a year to sober us all up. With all the late rain the strip has received this year ,and with the lack of rain early for the antlers this will indeed be the perfect negative storm for the archers. This year should put the whole strip archery thing into perspective for everyone who has been seeing all the good stuff coming out of the strip the last 2 or 3 years. I,ve heard a lot of talk from people this year who would have never considered blowing 10 plus bonus points who all seemed to put in for the strip archery this year. This ought to be a very sobering wake up call to everyone in the future when they consider putting in for the strip archery with tons of points instead of the rifle hunts. That being said i wish the best for everyone who got drawn this year up there cause if it doesnt dry out soon, this year is going to be a real eye opener with a huge dose of reality instead of fantasy.

yes he still there but not coming in in the daylight yet, Hopefully that changes. Also have some great other bucks but wont post those quite yet.
