Thought maybe some of you may be interested in reading a report about a Wisconsin study that recently documented that Chronic Wasting Disease prions can actually be taken up by plants including; alfalfa, corn and tomatoes. The disease has been found to be transmitted animal-to-animal, via soil, and now plants. The implication of these findings may play a role in how the state agencies manage CWD positive wildlife herds and their habitats.
