Suggestions on sighting in a 7mm Rem Mag

How is it going. I was need some help on sighting in my 7mm. How high should I have it a 100 yards? I would like it to hit close at 300 yards.

I have my 7mag shooting 2.5 inches high at 100, that puts me about 3 inches low at 300. Thats with 160gr sierra's at 3000fps... 160gr nosler partitions at 2975fps are basicly the same. For 175gr partitions at 2900 sighted in 2.5 inches at 100 puts me dead on at about 200 and about 4 inches low at 300. Hope this helps

I would go with 3" high at 100yds. That will put you very close to zero at 300yds and you should be pretty close to 4" high at 200yds which is still a dead buck! Good luck.

I agree with NvrEnuf, I always sight-in 3" high at 100 with my 7mm Mag. I shoot 160 gr Nosler Part. handloads. This sight-in has worked well for both mulies and elk. You will be abel to hit at any elk that is remotely with-in range if you do your part. The 3" high at 100 yard sight-in eliminates the need to know the exact range out to around 350 yards. Hold center of chest and you will have a lethal hit out to 350. A top of hairline hold will give you a lethal hit from 350 to nearly 450 yards.
