While building up points I am thinking of trying learn some new units with an otc bull tag or leftover cow tag. I like to hunt in wilderness areas so as to have less crowded conditions. I have horses and gear. Which units/wilderness areas would ya'll suggest?

If you have horses and all the gear at your disposal to get in the "way back," just find a map of colorado. Find some OTC bull areas with wilderness areas within those units. In most cases, elk are about in those areas, and the pressure is less because you've packed in a bit. There are a lot of wilderness areas in CO that will fit the bill for you.
