Sun river horn hunt

Just looking for info on the horn hunt on the Sun River Wildlife Managment area west of Augusta. Will be coming up for the first time?

opens the 15th at noon. usually lots of people (around 3oo vehicles) and alot of the horns walk away before opener. i expect this year will be more crowded than usual with the opener on a weekend. beautiful country but dont be surprised to come home empty handed.

So thats a lot of people, for not alot of bulls, being a local would help a ton i'm sure. I was told there is about 2300 elk on average with about 200 bulls, is that about right? If your there the night before does that help?
