The picture is misleading. He is a slick 4x4 with brow tines. No cheater I think the grass makes it look like a small cheater. So does anyone think he'll make pope and young?
Great BUCK! Especially for the Southern Part of NM. Give us a story about the hunt. What type of bow & accessories were you using. Winter BUCKS are Awesome.
Nice desert Muley, congratulations. He looks to have decent tine length and average mass.......maybe a bit short on the mainbeams, but still enough to qualify for P&Y, IMO. Definately good enough to have it officially measured. Congrats again.
Well managed to take the buck on Jan. 14. Used my trusty Bowetech Sampson set at 83 lbs. with a 29.5 draw length. Shooting monster aluminum arrows topped with 125 Thunderheads. Spent a few days trying to take any legal deer I could with no luck and finally managed to connect on this guy. I'm stoked for a first bow buck. Shot was 63 yards (my brother was next to me to range him for me) I practice quite often at this range so I felt confident with my ability to make the shot if buck fever did not overtake me. Hit the deer a little forward, but he expired about 200 yards from the shot with a massive blood trail. So it worked out quite well. Thanks for the looks and comments. Good luck in this years draws.
Nice Buck ! Awesome shot . You must be jacked about that ! I know some would disagree , but only you know what your capabilities are . The image of that shot will last a lifetime .
