Swarovski SLC 10x42 vs. Swarovski EL 10x42?

I have recently purchased the SLC 10x42 bionoculars. I know that both are awesome bionoculars. I know that the SLC's weigh a few ounces more, and the EL are more comfortable to hold. I have heard that they both have to same glass. I was wondering if those things i mention are the reason that the EL's are a couple hundred dollars more in price. Any how just a question for anyone who knows the answer. Thanks.
