Well made a short season of it. got one nice guy and then culled one out of gene pool. only doe tags for rest of year. been awful hot temps and strange rut so far. great acorn crop here so not alot of movement food plots only marginal growth and with acorn crop not hitting them yet.

It’s been a really messed up year weather and whitetail rut wise ! Good job ! We hunted whiteys early muzzleloader and archery so far……… not a tag filled yet !
 
It really was a messed-up rut, I wasn't sure it was ever going to get started to where it would be beneficial, but you did good nochawk.
 
Seeing the same in Kansas. Rut has been really weird and hunting slower than usual, at least for me. Hopefully next 4 or 5 days gets ramped up, colder incoming temps should help.
 
Well expecting a cool down coming next week, 20s for lows and upper 30s for highs, maybe that will get them moving some. time to start scouting and maybe find where they are for next year.
