So Trump says that you need ID to buy groceries and the stupid TDS afflicted libtards are beside themselves again. It's a pretty common thing that responsible merchants who accept credit/debit cards ask for ID to ensure that the person using the card is the person the card is issued to.

Given that the vast majority of supermarket transactions are debit/credit type transactions, it is pretty obvious to people with brain cells that aren't infected with TDS that while it is not required if you're paying with cash, ID should be and is in general presented when using debit/credit cards for purchase.
Merchants that don't ask for ID simply don't care about identity theft and just want to make the sale. Trump could say that the sky is blue and libtards would scream that colorblind people don't see it that way so therefore Trump is a liar.
I can't even believe this is news but Trump is right. If you're paying with a card, you'll probably need ID to complete the purchase but if you're voting in an election, no need to prove that you're even eligible to vote.
