My mom has been going through some old boxes of stuff from my grandparents and has been finding some neat stuff. This one has me choked up this morning.

This is a letter that my grandpa carried with him througout his service in WWII. It looks like he wrote it when he was in Basic Traning to his friend, who by then, had been shipped off to France. The contents of the letter are not all that remarkable, just an 18 year old kid writing to his buddy. But, if you look carefully you will see the envelope is marked "Deceased - Return to Sender". He never threw it away.

If you look close you can see that he forgot to put the zip code on the envelope too.

That's pretty neat Roy. I'm sure that will be passed down in the family.

Yes, I know that was before zip codes. :)
