Tough Elk Hunt?

Had my coveted elk tag this year. Archery tag in 8. I found elk, called in elk, was in elk most days. After 8 hunting days I killed a 315 bull but unfortunately after 8 hours and lots of frosty blood I bumped him out of bed and never found a trace of where he went.

I'm super disappointed that I lost him. I know it happens but it sucks.

Overall the hunt was fun, lots of ups and downs emotionally with the weather, people, number of people, and the elks behavior. I just wish it had a different ending!

did you go back a day or 2 later and watch for crows or listen for coyotes /

Shot him on Elk Ridge he bedded near Big T tank.

Sorry to hear about your bull . . . I'd sure like to run across him for you. We?re normally hunting east of there; however plans can change as you know. If we're around the Big T area we'll keep our eyes open.
