Have heard that the all upcoming non-tribal member elk and mule deer hunts on the Jicarilla reservation in New Mexico have been cancelled and all non-tribal member trophy elk hunts on the White Mtn. reservation in Arizona cancelled as well.

In the state I live in people aged 80+ make up 5% of the positive tests.
They also represent 51% of the deaths.

Maybe the tribe's actions are a reflection of the value they place on their older generations.
