Trump To Sign Landmark public Lands Bill Into Law

Well here's another example of the President Trumps commitment to the outdoors in America that should benefit generations to come. It looks like he's fulfilling another campaign promise to help protect our lands and waters with the land and water protection fund (LWCF) and help our parks and public lands with the National Parks and Public Lands National Restoration Fund. That's something any of us that use federal lands should support and remember at election time to help preserve America's legacy. Notice that several sportsman's associations commended the bill. Those organizations included the RMEF, NSSF, US Fish and Wild Life Service and a host of other interests. It would appear the guy the left loves to demonize has actually passed another positive bill to protect this nations legacy for our future generations to enjoy. His actions are a far cry from those we're seeing on TV every night by those who claim "Trump will tear and burn America down", when it's actually them and their actions that are doing just that. It would appear Trump's more sincere than those that oppose him. Here's the article that shows he plans to sign the bill into law and we all benefit from that!!

It is great that this passed. Its getting more and more rare for bipartisan legislation to get anywhere. If you’re wondering which party more broadly supports this kind of thing, you should look at the roll call votes for this bill. None of my congress critters supported it. Definitely a win for sportsman, and one I’ll give Trump some credit for.

Going to be real hard for some folks to see this. A lot of minds blown by signing this.

BHA will be applauding Trump. We can add Trump to the list of green decoys.?

Will also mean that a New York land developer, will have done more for the sportsmen in my state(Utah) than all of my congressmen and senators combined. When do WE start expecting our R to act like the R President and support US(GAOA, refuge opening)

A republican supporting public land. Let that sink in just a little. A REPUBLICAN SUPPORTING PUBLIC LAND. That means we get to keep our guns AND our land? I keep hearing that we have to make a choice, guess that’s BS.

GREAT FOR TRUMP!! The man deserves 100% credit for LEADING.

Wyosam "trump deserves some credit," LMAO. If Trump dumped gold bricks every day and gave them to the poor, grizz and wyosam would complain that he only chits gold bricks because he is so mean spirited.

he does deserve some credit- he certainly doesn’t deserve all the credit all the credit for a bipartisan bill that he nothing to do with initiating. That was a blueish state Republican senator who started it. Many of the western state Republican senators opposed it. So no, he doesn’t get full credit as the savior of our public lands. ok, you guys can go back to the narrative that the democrats want to lock you out of public lands.

The Dems do not want to lock you out, those big city Dem. leaders will sell off the public land to support their welfare programs to keep the minorities under their thumb. Wyosam will never admit that concerning his favorite party.

That is one of the dumbest things you’ve ever said. I’m pretty sure the Democrats have been fighting against Republican plans to sell off and/or hand federal public lands to the states as long as I can remember. Like most things, I tend to fall in the middle. If you click that link above, the nays on the bill this thread is about are some of the biggest enemies of public’s lands, and they are all Republicans. I cringe when either party controls all 3 branches, because if either are allowed to take their public lands platforms very far we are screwed as sportsman. Bipartisan public lands bills keep them from screwing everything up.

No Wyosam the dumbest thing is you failing to believe it. The Dems can only tax so much before the voters revolt and they know it. You can bet your butt that big city dem. mayors and even some governors would push the federal Dems. for land sale to protect their welfare programs. They could care less about public land and would be willing to sell off some of it to line their coffers to keep the minorities happy that keep voting them into office.
Heck! our own CA. Dem. governor is yelling that CA. is now broke and he still wants to give the illegal immigrants 1200 dollars to keep them loving the Dems. as he gives out driver's licenses to them so they can vote at polling places. Are you willing to trust him and others like him with your public land when they are also anti hunting on public land. No hunting, one less reason to own a firearm?

I guess you’re going to believe what you want, but that is absolute bullshit. Returning federal public lands to state and/or private control is literally part of the republican party platform, and it has been for a long time. Perhaps you should have someone read you that part of the most recent version. Trump himself actually breaks with the Republican Party on that, which is good. Probably some leftovers from when he was a democrat not too long ago. The democrat platform has been to protect the public lands that so many of us enjoy, both by keeping them in public hands, and in protecting wildlife habitat. They go overboard, and don’t have a great understanding of the term multi-use, especially the hard left and many of the “non-profit” environmental organizations that fight every project in the courts. Those groups and the democrats in Washington have kept several of my favorite hunting areas from being full of wells and roads. Like nearly everything else, somewhere in the middle is where the best path lies.

No, I don’t want your idiot governor. In fact if Trump wants my support on a wall, he’s building it in the wrong place. The California line would be a great spot, especially if they run a loop around Vegas and Reno, too. You do realize that the republican party dream is to put your idiot governor in charge of the federal public lands in your state, right? Think of all the homeless immigrant camps he could build! Hell he could even serve them with high speed rail to nowhere! Blind party support breeds extreme views, and they are bad whichever extreme they are on. They make great headlines and feed the media beast though, so that is all we hear on both sides, even if the left has a comparatively massive media machine.

Now you are talking pure B.S. as Gavin Newsome is a die hard liberal Democrat and the nephew of Nancy Pelosi who is hated by the republican party. I do not think they will turn over the land while he is in office and would have control of it.
I know there is Republicans that are for selling off public land, but you are a fool if you do not believe that the likes of Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schummer, Gerry Nader, Deblasio, Columo, would not give up public lands to protect their pet projects and stay in office. You are one dense fool to believe it is only Republicans that will sell our public land to the highest bidder.

In my lifetime I have seen 1) an increase in protected public lands, and 2) a decrease in access to public lands.

I'm not worried about them selling it. With a monument in my backyard where YOU no longer have access, my perspective may be a little different.

While there are many advocates in Congress for selling our public lands Trump isn't one of them contrary to what the dems tell us he wants.......like on every single issue since he's been elected. Lest not we forget under Obama we saw the parks and monuments locked up tighter than a drum because he was proving a point about who held the power......... Trumps boys hunt and fish and that's a a big plus for most of us in that regard.

Gavin Newsome would sell anything he got his hands on so he's a poor example of anything especially a leader. He always follows the money just like the dems have been doing since the Clintons turned Congress on to how to bilk the public from their tax dollars. It's not the republican party giving taxpayer funds to activist groups and getting a big chunk back as a campaign contribution. Even the newest Marxist members of the dem party have learned to exploit the system for gain and managed to figure out a high paying gig for their spouse out of the donations.......Bernie did it. Omar does it, AOC does it and the Feinsteins, and Pelosi's, Bidens and Obama's have managed to do it well and managed to make millions in the process. So Ca governor must have learned from the Pelosi's since they are related and he just got a 3.7 million dollar house that fell in his lap, that he promptly went in and took out a 2,5 millions dollar cash out refinance since refi funds aren't taxable..........Smell Fishey???????

So grizz once again you open pandoras box but are too damn ignorant to realize it's your party that's been exploiting the system...LOL

I'm sure Wyosam is right in the middle of writing some letters to China about the exploitation of slave labor by Nike, Apple, the NBA and WNBA, and Black Lives Mattter accepting funds from companies so soiled by forced labor monies that in no time at all they'll be reeling with remorse and wanting to repent......cashing those big fat checks!

Sam could organize another letter writing campaign to the Democrat party itself pointing out the fact they've received donations from some of the same entities with their soiled hands filled with dollars from slave labor. Then they could also point out why they don't agree with the destruction of American monuments and building's being condoned by their elected leaders while ordering the police to let them do as they wish........which is the destruction of public property and in complete violation of our laws and their oath's of office.

Then to put the emphasis on things they could point out the hypocrisy of the left in condoning things against our laws and founding fathers intent. Then if they would be so bold they could point out the democratic ties to the KKK, slavery, and the fact their divisional politics isn't promoting harmony and love in our country. No they're up their shaming our children for being white, teaching the black kids to hate white and indoctrinating our youth to a false narrative on people being subjected to inequality strictly based on a false narrative and rewritten history based on hatred not the actual events.

Now Sam's admitted to writing letters when things aren't right and it would appear so much of what's going on isn't right in America today that the ink should be flowing trying to right all the wrongs we see going on daily fed by the quest for greed and power and it ll seems quite tantamount to how socialists mislead a nation before trying to exert their control........

I'm sure old Sam would get a few of us to write some letters too and this seems far more worthwhile than just trying to point out how our broken obstructionist Democrat party rallied for the cause to pass a damn bill rather than oppose every single thing this nation was founded upon.

Lest not we forget impeachments take time and fraudulent impeachments take even more to create false testimony and a false predicate! While Sam did point out the reality with the bill and the fact it was bipartisan it would appear our nation's wounds being inflicted by the left may be something all his skills as a doctor may be unable to reverse and we're going to lose the patient from to the wounds inflicted by the assassins they've deployed to do us harm.

So Wyosam, hope you take this in the spirit intended not as a rebuttal of your thoughts, since in reality the Dems feeble attempt at bipartisan ship was nothing more that a diversion to show some positive accomplishments over the last 3+years and in the gesture of support I too will take it!!

Post the entire plank in the party platform sam, let's discuss it.
Let’s do that.
quoted from-https://www.gop.com/platform/americas-natural-resources/

“The federal government owns or controls over 640 million acres of land in the United States, most of which is in the West. These are public lands, and the public should have access to them for appropriate activities like hunting, fishing, and recreational shooting. Federal ownership or management of land also places an economic burden on counties and local communities in terms of lost revenue to pay for things such as schools, police, and emergency services. It is absurd to think that all that acreage must remain under the absentee ownership or management of official Washington. Congress shall immediately pass universal legislation providing for a timely and orderly mechanism requiring the federal government to convey certain federally controlled public lands to states. We call upon all national and state leaders and representatives to exert their utmost power and influence to urge the transfer of those lands, identified in the review process, to all willing states for the benefit of the states and the nation as a whole.”

1- While there are many advocates in Congress for selling our public lands Trump isn't one of them contrary to what the dems tell us he wants.......like on every single issue since he's been elected. Lest not we forget under Obama we saw the parks and monuments locked up tighter than a drum because he was proving a point about who held the power......... Trumps boys hunt and fish and that's a a big plus for most of us in that regard.

2- Gavin Newsome, blah blah blah...So Ca governor must have learned from the Pelosi's since they are related and he just got a 3.7 million dollar house that fell in his lap, that he promptly went in and took out a 2,5 millions dollar cash out refinance since refi funds aren't taxable..........Smell Fishey???????

3- I'm sure Wyosam is right in the middle of writing some letters to China about the exploitation of slave labor by Nike, Apple, the NBA and WNBA, and Black Lives Mattter accepting funds from companies so soiled by forced labor monies that in no time at all they'll be reeling with remorse and wanting to repent......cashing those big fat checks!

4- Sam could organize another letter writing campaign to the Democrat party itself pointing out the fact they've received donations from some of the same entities with their soiled hands filled with dollars from slave labor. Then they could also point out why they don't agree with the destruction of American monuments and building's being condoned by their elected leaders while ordering the police to let them do as they wish........which is the destruction of public property and in complete violation of our laws and their oath's of office.

5- Now Sam's admitted to writing letters when things aren't right and it would appear so much. (ooops, cut a little more than planned)

So Wyosam, hope you take this in the spirit intended not as a rebuttal of your thoughts, since in reality the Dems feeble attempt at bipartisan ship was nothing more that a diversion to show some positive accomplishments over the last 3+years and in the gesture of support I too will take it!!
1- yes, as I said Trump was on the right side of this. I give the guy some credit and you all still get your panties is a wad.

2- why does everyone assume I give a **** about the clowns elected by the state of California? There are a lot of folks on here who live in that state- their problem, not mine (beyond the idiotic things they do on the national level, which there are 535 of those clowns. Only 3 of them “belong” to me.)

3- I don’t wrote letters to China for a couple reasons. First, I don’t speak any of their many languages. Second, I’m pretty sure they don’t care what I think. What I do, is avoid their products as much as I can. I am stuck with apple unfortunately, and I DO let them know they should be keeping as much of their operations here as they can. I buy refurbished though, and keep those things forever, so they probably don’t care. As for the NBA etc, I don’t support any sports with my dollars, I’ve got better ways to spend my time. BLM- I support their right to peaceably assemble, and I do think there is still a lot of systemic racism in this country. The sh they are doing now isn’t doing anyone any good.

4- I will happily write letters to my elected leaders, whichever party they are in. Other than a couple county commissioners and on or two of my state reps, all my elected officials are Republicans. I’ve spoken to them all in person multiple times. When there is a Democrat in the White House, they get letters. On one occasion I spent some time in DC professionally and got to speak with several senators and congressmen from both parties from around the country. If they needed to get an earful, they got one, regardless of party.

5- Dem’s feeble attempts? Go look at the roll call votes. Without Democrats, Trump would have nothing to sign. This bill would be dead in the water. The Republican senator from the increasingly blue state of Colorado introduced this bill, and it was smart- getting this passed is a great way for him to represent his whole constituency, and almost certainly keep his job. Republicans had zero chance to do this unilaterally, since half of them voted against it. It had near unanimous Democrat support in the senate (2 didn’t vote, rest aye). I didn’t find a nice chart for the house vote, but I didn’t look very long. I didn’t need to look to see how Liz Cheney votes.

I don’t take any offense to social media comments. Some are more interesting than others, and I enjoy reading them if they are well thought out and not just parroted nonsense. We al have different beliefs (well most of us- there are those who just line up with the party line on everything, which are a waste of space).

we can argue about how we got it, but I think we can all agree this bill is a win for sportsmen, so that is something we can call a win while the country is in a tough spot (not pointing any fingers, we’ve certainly got some stuff to work out that isn’t getting fixed by either party alone)

One thing I should add, I’m glad those who came together to vote for this did. What we should all be worried about, is that the Republicans from western states like WY, ID, UT, who we tend to think of as pro sportsmen, all voted against this. They knew it was going to pass, so they weren’t changing anything. Their vote was about a message to their donors. That’s who they represent. Something worth thinking about (and writing a letter about, if you are a constituent).

Wyosam, you have given the expression that keeping public lands pubic is a big priority with you. You also said that there is western states GOP members are against keeping the lands in the public hands. As a result President Trump is standing with the group that wants to keep the lands from being sold off or given to states that will sell it off.
Yet you give Trump only a token of credit and have continue to badmouth him to the point we know you hate him. How are you going to vote this Nov.? Are you going to vote for someone else and possibly watch Trump loose and their goes our main supporter on public lands that has the power to veto any sell off.
You can not have it both ways, you either support Trump or you can kiss your argument goodby that public lands is a important issue with you.
I agree with Boskee that Trump's two hunting-fishing sons have a great influence on their Father concerning public lands. Joe Biden's son would have his Father sell it off in a heartbeat if he could be the middle man making the money.

I really am having a hard time understanding, everyone is all upset "good reason" with the state of Utah giving BGF a couple million with out having any oversight on how BGF spends that money but we are jumping for joy over giving a new fedral agency 900 million every year no questions with no oversight. All in the name of the Great Outdoors. Got to really love them National Parks, keep them Chinese happy when they come to visit!

I do not trust any federal agencies they are all too progressive left for me.
Do I need to say anything more than the FBI. I don't think Trump trusts them!
How about National Forest Service. How is are forests looking. Alot of logging business out of buisness!
What about the Burial of Land Management. Them Wildhorse now they are doing a great job there and the multi use of land that is going good!
And do not let me forget the great progressive EPA.
I don't think I need to say anything there!

Any one that thinks that Democrats that represent big cities or states with little public land will not sell off public land to pay off the mob when money gets tight should take another look at Montana's Jon Tester. Tester is more than willing to part with tens of thousands of acres of public land in the Little Rocky Mountains as part of a water settlement. If a Democrat like Tester is willing to practically give away public land to a constituency that votes decisively in his favor then it will be easy for a senator from New York, Illinois or an ex Senator form Delaware to do something similar. In a State like Montana Tester may in the future have to answer to the voters , Democrats from the big cities will have nothing to worry about.

Did you bother to read and comprehend it, or just think it proves your point? Genuinely curious. Because it says nothing about selling off all federal lands. It says nothing about surrendering all federal lands to the states. I'll wait for your BHA response. If you'd rather not give it, I'm sure grizz will be along shortly........

Hopefully the feds can do a better job managing our public lands than they are doing with FISA applications or in Portland or managing COVID.

Yes I read it, and yes I am aware it uses words like select, and some. I also have been watching Republican senators and congressmen from my and surrounding states vote for a long time. I listen to what they say and what they write. Does the Democrat platform mention killing babies, giving free healthcare to illegal immigrants, and taking away all your guns, or do read between the lines and use statements and past actions to assume that? Since they dont say they are going to take all your guns, then there is no reason to worry about any slippery slopes, right? I don’t know why I bother. Ignore it, question nothing. Praise the messiah for it, but don’t question the fact that half the republicans in congress opposed it.

I love it when smart guys act dumb.

You know where logging is stopped, and it’s not the FS headquarters, it’s generally the 9th Circuit in San Fran.

You also keep trying to pretend “we are just handing over money “.

The royalties charged on off shore drilling pay the LWCF. Your taxes didn’t change. Neither did the debt. What does change is the funds that are collected on a specific activity(drilling) will ACTUALLY go to where they were intended, vs being stolen.

All of that you know, because you ain’t an idiot.

The head of the BLM is anti public land. How exactly is he too progressive? The dept of a interior is leading by a oil gas lawyer/lobbyist.
You are the shining example of what the Utah delegation does. Starve the dept($20million in backlogged maintenance) then turn around and say how badly the FS/BLM manage the land so the states should do it.

Utah. Where they sell $300,000 deer tags to manage one of the buisness state parks. Not a ringing endorsement, but facts are hard to come by these days

Hoss First off this topic is not about the transfer of federal public property to state control. I do not support the states taking control of federal public lands. I have shared my standing position by email and in person with Senator Lee so you can drop that argument.
Second off I never said a thing about taxes so stop trying to make it sound like I was talking about taxes, I know the funding for the 900 million comes from off shore drilling.
Yes courts have tied up logging industries but the US Forest Service has not been a friend if logging for more than 30 years, go talk to loggers.
I never said the head if the BLM you said that. The BLM is and has been actively against certain multi users for sometime know. Go to Emery county or Grand county and see the list of things the BLM has tried stoping in them counties.
Again hoss I do not support BGF getting a couple million from the state of Utah with no oversight but I also do not support the idea of giving 900 millon to a government agency with no oversight.
You might not think 900 million is very much money when we are talking about the federal government but it is enough to do some real damage to how you and I enjoy using public lands if the wrong pepole are in control of it and what looks like could be a bad year for conservatives i don't like are chances of having a multi use supporter in control of this Great America Outdoor funding.
I am really not going to waste anymore of yours or my time debating this anymore. Although I do believe everyone on this site including myself thinks it is good the outdoor recreation is getting some funding but i can clearly see we have two different ideas of how that should be handled.

I had forgot one other point.
This is not some new funding that they just started. This has been funded every 5 years for over 60 years.
They just changed the rules to every year with no oversight and allowed some changes of how it can be spent.

We agree mostly. But oversight means Rob Bishop on the right or AOC on the left. It means either gets to tie stipulations to it.

It also means control. So every few years WE get to pay lawyers, pay lobbyists, pay NGO to have to go beg for funds that are there.

Meaning we could get all the LWCF money available IF it’s used for green projects if the left is in oversight.

Nothing is perfect, this won’t be either, but it’s a VAST improvement.

And on a side note it shows the sagebrush rebellion holdovers are slowly losing their grip, which is a great thing

I know I said I was done debating this issue but.
The sagebrush rebellion held off the green push throughout the 1990. If they would not have held them off back then the so called environmentalist (greenies) would be light years ahead of where they are at today.

The R and their developer(oil, gas, timber, mineral) contributors don’t care about green is. They never have. They have detested the FS/BLM since each was created. Go read the history of FS creation, same folks, same “complaints”, same expectations, same disregard. Whether it was Weyerhaeuser, the railroads, or the mine owners, or oil and gas today.
You should reread actual history. Not Orrin Hatch’s press releases.

It was for the same reason as it is today. $$$$

And, I did bail on BHA because they sold out to green developers.
So ya, I agree the dems are only better than the R because they haven’t figured out a way to profit from selling public.

Wyosam I am glad hoss can speak for you. But for some reason I think you and him are probably not even close with your opinions on this subject or for that matter on any subject.
That is Just my opinion

Well Sam you disappoint me with your ability to recall as a long established activist that you don't get any bang for your buck writing to China about such things. We both know you tried the old end around on this......LOL You go straight to the guys that own the products and market them. You should be writing the NBA, WNBA, Apple and Nike directly as you know to protest their usage of China's oppressed and let them know you'll stop buying their products if they don't stop using state controlled labor to produce the goods. Then you tell the guys and gals that dribble a ball for money thet they need to stop cashing those big fat checks they get from their shoe contracts in addition to their salary. Not too hard to believe why the NBA are critical of Trumps moves when it jeopardizes those checks and the huge dollars they get from the shoe manufacturers. Then we have Nike the gold standard exploiting the weak for monetary gain and huge profits from foreign labor.

Is it any wonder they give so generously to the Democratic
Party. Ironic how they've managed to also support Black Lives Matter and many other dems activist causes for favorable legislation to keep the cheap labor and high profits coming.

Isn't it amazing how that seems to work........you liberals oppose everything that goes against your candidates filling their pockets or activist causes or companies that don't support their agenda. So much for free markets and free choice and to think they've gamed you on hunting in many other states using the same formula.........

No panties in a wad here just a reasonable attempt to point out how hypocritical the liberal agenda really is in reality. It's grown into the current cancel culture with the dogs salivating to cancel anybody that opposes them for any reason and the dems refuse to use a check cord for any reason. So lets look at things through a clear lens not the jaded lens of the democratic socialist party as it works today.

They foolishly think they have the power to control us because they control our minds, our media, and have the power to censor any material that they want as evidenced by how the they distort the actual event that unfold in this country daily. How can a free society exist when they're not given the facts surrounding any event in this country. How can a free society exist when one party filters what they hear, see, or read going so far as to distort the actual facts. It's apparent to many of us on here that our legal system is becoming distorted by a political agenda taking precedence over our actual laws being distributed in a fair and equitable fashion. It may or may not be so visible in Wyoming but it is to many of us that actually reside in states experiencing the effects first hand.

So while I celebrate the fact we had a favorable bill pass that favors all of us on this forum......it's hard to look past all the bias and abuse being cast upon us by a political party that disregards our laws, under the guise of equality when their actions belie those ideals on every front. In other words their actions and their deeds don't support their proposed ideals, yet lean towards a far more evil objective, of power and control. Then the way they openly shame folks of any color to promote their agenda and create social division to set the stage for racial reparations and monetary base racial incentives is completely insane. Maybe these things haven't reached Wyoming but they have reached many of us on this forum and that doesn't make us wrong just informed of how easy it is to exploit the biggest check book in the world if it falls into the wrong hands. Just an opinion but one formed in experience and one schooled enough to listen to the message being sent by those who've exploited us in the past.

What the hell are you talking about? Clearly your reading comprehension is lacking. I said I don’t write to China, and aside from Apple products, I have very very few things made in China. None of those companies you mention, or any sports association gets a nickel from me. I don’t use them, and I don’t watch any of that nonsense. Much like politicians from California, not my effin problem. China treats people like ****, absolutely. That’s one of many reasons I don’t buy their stuff (although mostly because it’s garbage). To be honest, after that opening paragraph, I quit reading. Maybe I’ll see the rest of it later, but doesn’t seem worth the effort.

That was exactly the point so why bring it up with your established activist background.....LOL Missed out on the end around point???? You still missed the point you wrote letters as a right's advocate but then I guess that only applies when it suits your purpose...... Having a little issue reading between the lines?........ Must have hit a nerve about the hypocrisy angle.........Open your eyes Sam what they want you to believe isn't the reality of what they're up to.......You're a doctor pathogens mask themselves in many illnesses so open your eyes to what's going on outside Wyoming............Guess you're not up to seeing the bigger picture after all.......LOL You're right it's not worth the effort on either of our parts.

No, I don’t write letters about stuff I don’t care about. Apparently we agree on that? The people who care about that stuff can write Those letters. I’m not on some crusade to fix things I don’t give a **** about. To be honest, I have no idea what you are blathering about, which makes two of us. I see the big picture on things I care about. The way democracy works, is that elected officials represent those who elected them. The elected officials in California don’t care anymore what I think than I care what they think. And they shouldn’t, they don’t represent me. Can I think they are an idiot? Yep, can I think they are dangerous? Yep. Can I encourage anyone I know that lives in their state or district to vote sober next time? Yeah, I can do that, too. I could even go so far as to donate to an opponent, but I never have. But they don’t represent me, and shouldn’t care what I think. That’s how it works. You call me an activist, but I would disagree with that. I would consider myself a politically engaged citizen. Interacting with the people who represent you in various levels of government is what you are supposed to do in a democracy. That is how they are supposed to know what is important to their constituents. I guess you can let them guess based on some stupid focus group or poll, or just toe the party line on everything. I‘ve never been to a march, don’t really like crowds, or people in general for that matter (yeah, yeah, I know how that sounds given my line of work). Beyond a couple professional groups, and organizations like TU, RMEF, etc I don’t donate to any political advocacy groups. Most take far too extreme of a stand on whatever they are about.

Do you not engage with your elected officials? You have very firmly held beliefs, which I respect, even if I don’t agree with many of them. I can‘t picture that level of engagement yet remaining a bystander hoping for the best.

Bosskee we are wasting our time with Wyosam. He would not know the truth if it bit him on his butt. Other times he just ignores any post that calls out his two faced opinions or goes off on another subject.

Gee! did you get your panties in a wad. It is fun pricking your thin hide. Have a nice day.

Wyosam I am glad hoss can speak for you. But for some reason I think you and him are probably not even close with your opinions on this subject or for that matter on any subject.
That is Just my opinion

I’m guessing this was because I liked a post? I don’t believe that means Hoss is speaking for me. I can like a discussion even if I disagree with some or even all of the content. I enjoy reading the views of others, especially when they are well thought out and genuine. As for disagreeing on “any subject”, even with someone I disagree with on every single topic in a political context, if you put this conversation around a campfire or over a beer, you’d find that people have a lot more in common than you think. The internet is great for thinking in absolutes and black and white.

I am sorry I should have put in one of them little smile face things. Then it would have been meant in jest.

It’s too bad that having public land, AND MAINTAINING it became a political issue. But, the fact is the R are the ones pushing the fight, and politicizing it. That’s just the fact.
Just for beginners it’s amazing the supposed law and order party, wants to forget that the public land states, in order to achieve statehood, agreed to public land inside their borders. So the party of non activist judges needs activist judges to look past agreements to statehood in order to achieve the platform they openly publicize.

So I’m my state we had my rep, Rob Bishop as the chair of a Interior. Under his chairmanship, roads closed, trails closed, FS employees got a 2week unemployment stretch yearly because the FS budget was exhausted fighting fires. These are FACTS.

Utah also has Orrin Hatch as a Senator. 4decades. Every 6years we heard how valuable it was to have him and his seniority as our Senator.

Utah BLM didn’t broker with ranchers. They didn’t figure beneficial plans for both. We GOT NOTHING.

So, when guys I agree with 90% of the time comment about public land politics, or supporting land transfer, based on Utah politicians doing it better, they have zero proof. I can show them that AI had to sell $300k deer tags to make things work. I can show them how under Bishop things GOT WORSE.

About then is when the “ya but the dems are crazy” lines come out. And they are correct, the dems are. But so what?

Utah outdoorsmen get nothing by blindly supporting R, based on “the dems are crazy”.

This bill is a WIN for US. There is nothing wrong with letting the Lee/Bishop folks know that we WILL KEEP OUR GUNS and our LAND, if they want to keep their jobs. And in truth, THAT is what they care about.

Hoss i know I sound like a broken record but if the choice is a transgender Misty Snow that is clueless or a Dictator Jenny Wilson that tries to dictate how the rural counties in Utah should be governed. I will continue to vote R even if it is showman Mike Lee and dunce Mitt Romney.
Could you imagine if the Snow and Wilson would have got in the Senate and that would have gave the Dems the balance of power.
We need better canidates in the primaries. When it comes the general election unless you find a Joe Manchin in Utah I am voting R all day long.
But then again maybe Utah would have been better off if we would have sent Miss Wilson to Washington.

I agree with you that we need to vote out those RINO GOP along with the left wing liberal socialist Democrats. Hopefully other better GOP members will step up and run during primary elections so we can get rid of the RINO and not have to vote for a liberal Democrat.

You realize the OG of the bill is a Republican, right?

You should go search my name and Jenny Wilson, might surprise you.

But ya. We need better candidates. Hard to do when dudes blindly pledge to whatever R is in office.

We could make them sweat. Write a letter. Do some calling. You don’t have to put out in the first date.

Mitt Romney doesn’t care about public land. He’s an easy flip if guys would take 2 min to call. Bishop and Lee are hardliners. But Romney? He takes a poll on what to eat for dinner.

Spencer Cox went to every townUtah. Like him or not, he did do it.
Think Lee or Romney has been to Sigurd? Levan? Orangeville? Why should they, they don’t care about asking for your vote, they knew they had it. So they work for lobbyists, who get what they want because they REQUIRE something in return.

I have no idea what bill or the OG you are talking about and your name and Jenny Wilson, i am not serching anything about you two ( what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas ) ?
I live in a small town in Central Utah in the past four years Governor Herbert has been here once, Spencer Cox once, Huntsman once, Chris Stewart twice, Romney once and Mike Lee himself once and his handlers two more times. So yes they do get out and visit around the state. Mike Lees right hand man his left hand lady and his right leg man came and visited with a small group of us just three weeks ago and we let them know we did not agree with the state taking ownership of federal public property. His right hand man explained there justification of turning over the fed property and tried to tell us how Senator Lee planned on how the state would manage the land. We told him how we did not buy into Senator Lees vision and that we could not trust the government at any level.
It was a good visit most of the time we discussed snall town needs things they could not only take back to Senator Lee but maybe help on the state level they stayed until we said it was time to go home.
Yes hoss they do care about us small influence voters to a point.
I am not justifying Lee, I do not agree with the changing of hands of public lands, the state of Utah or any state can not afford the control of all public property hell our Feds can't afford the public property.
Hoss i got one question did you vote for Mr Snow or Mike Lee?

PS Wyosam I learned how to use them smile faces correctly

PS Wyosam I learned how to use them smile faces correctly

The GAOA came from a REPUBLICAN in Colorado(a public land state, with guns)

So Lee guys came to you, looked you in the eye and lied to your face.

This is a talk written by and given by Mike Lee 2 years ago. His words, his thoughts. Go read it. Then get back to me with what Mike Lee plans.(Modern day homestead act)

Talk is cheap. Lee is great at talk. Let’s this state management plan he has, in writing(hint: it doesn’t exist, I’ve asked, 9 times). I also asked for a written response to why he grandstands they LWCF last year, and voted no last month. Yup, still waiting.

Romney and Bishop sent form letters to their credit.

I voted for neither. Both are dishonest.

But let me now ask you. Who has done mire for you as a sportsman this year. Ben McAdams, or any of the other 3 congressmen?

Further, what has any of the 3 or the 2senators done for you as a sportsman in the last year? Or in their last term? Or in their careers as politicians?

You are obsessed with Misti Snow, why is that?

That’s right, because that’s all the Senior Senator from Utah had, “ I’m not a transsexual”?

Yeah, I noticed that too. What is it with Big Government Republicans wanting to control EVERY aspect of people's lives, even their gender identity or sexual preference? It seems that falls pretty clearly under the "personal liberty" umbrella.

But you're right, hoss. Lee and Bishop, et al, clearly want to dispose of all federal lands outside of National Parks.

People like notdon love to "read between the lines" across the aisle and then put blinders on when it comes to their predetermined Party. I've never figured it out.

Does anybody know when Trump will sign it? Doesn't he only have three more days?

First off hoss, Lee's guys did not lie to me they looked me in the eye and said that Lee's plan includes the selling of public land. We responded looking them right into there eyes and said we do not agree with them. Stop trying to twist things.

You go ahead and put them scum sucking Socialists in the name of Democrat's back into Congress we will see how good that turns out.
You will still be breaking your back doing sheet rock but it won't be for your own business you will be working for the socialists agenda.
You claim it is The R party that is the biggest threat to public land and that is complete BS. Yes the Republicans pushing public land transfer are a threat to sell public land and yes if they sell it you and i probably will never step foot on it again. But if the Democrats get it will be locked up and the only way you go camping is by reservation and when you go hiking you have to stay on the trails they provide for you, unless you pay a fee and go through eco friendly training.
Locked up land is locked up land makes no difference who locks it up or how they lock it up you and i will not be allowed on it to recreate as we want to.
Don't give me this bullchit Ben McAdams has done more for sportsman than the Republican from Utah. The Republican reps from Utah had supported this fund for 69 years as long as there was oversight. This idea it is ok to give hundreds of millions of dollars with out any oversight is bad government. I don't support giving it to Big Game Forever, Sportsman for Wildlife, The Great Amercan Outdoor Act or even for the kids or Veterans of this country.
If you give hundreds of millions with out anyone having to answer for that money you will have at least 1/3 of that money is stolen and/or wasted.
Just take a look at the Education Department and Veteran's Affairs no need to explain.
But you and grizz can continue to whine and stomp your feet about BGF AND SFW explain that.

Grizz i am just stating what the Trans is I could give a crap less what he scientifically is or the Trans want to be. It is amazing you "my opinion is the only opinion that matter" crowd only believe science when it limits the free will of the pepole of the U.S.
I am proud to say I having opposing views of you grizz

If the republicans supported funding, then why wasn’t it funded?

“His right hand man explained there justification of turning over the fed property and tried to tell us how Senator Lee planned on how the state would manage the land”

According to your own post today, Lee told you a management plan. He doesn’t have one. He only has a liquidation plan.

You can spin, but I notice you didn’t post that list of things all theUtah congress has done to support Utah sportsmen.

Mc Adams voted to fun the backlog in FS maintenance.

That one vote did means he’s done more.

Facts are just facts

Facts are Facts
Keep crying and stomping your feet about SFW and BGF no oversight.
The Great American Outdoors Act gets money no oversight and you jump for joy.
Hoss it is hard to respect your position when the only position you have is jealousy of anyone that has what you dont have.
? ?
See wyosam I can put in crying faces too if that helps get the point across!

Unlike you. I know the guys who started $fw. So my knowledge isn’t 3rd hand from a PR statement.

Second. I don’t want oversight of BGF. I want zero money going to Ryan. Period.

I’m not sure what jealousy has to do with any of this, but as usual when your only answer is Misti Snow, or jealousy, isn’t t shows you really have nothing.

There’s been 2 abortion bills shot down this summer. The court refused the gun case. The debt is skyrocketing.

Where’s Mike Lee? He’s concerned about Trump using the tools Obama used on him. Romney is trying to expand the Bonneville trail using LWCF funds he voted against.

Bishop was pushing to give 800,000 acres to expand the bombing range.

And here you sit, after watching public landbe closed TO YOU. Hunts cancelled because of it. Still parroting “ya well Misti Snow”

Or Jenny Wilson. Who by the way was anti the SLC watershed being sold off to a developer. Which is part of the #1OTC deer hunt in this state, the extended Wasatch front archery.

John Curtis sat on his azz as the shoreline of Utah lake, was given to a developer in exchange for dredging(he hasn’t dredged).

See, it’s one thing to say “Utah is a public land state”. It’s another to do something to keep it that way.

Being an R used to mean something. Being one now means your a Democrat with bumper sticker slogans, “Abortion, Guns.....”

I know exactly who started SFW who are you to say what I know and what I don't.

Hoss you are kind of touchy about Mr Snow is there something there we don't know about. It is alright hoss times have changed you can admit to that stuff now days. We won't judge.

Keep champion the left hoss. YAY Jenny Wilson!

I assume you live in central Utah and don peay lives in bountiful, Bateman lives in south Weber, etc, etc.

And because you asked.

I did ask both Wilson andSnow their position on public land. Both were against selling it off like Lee was.

I disliked both guns policies.

Oh.

Black Lives Matters is a Marxist revolutionary group called for the overthrow of the American constitution.

And the Utah R who is going to save us from the “scum suckers” is marching with them.

This pic has really got to hurt that narrative I’d imagine?

I really think Romney will not even try and run again in Utah.
I would not be surprised to see him pop in another state as a Democrat.

Romney and John McCain were two of the same, RINO and go with the direction of the wind even if it means flip flopping on issues.

I love that “flip flopper” is such a big insult to the Trumpers. I’ve got underwear that I’ve had longer than your messiah has been a “Republican”.

Maybe it is time for your to clean those brown stains out of those underwear to avoid the stink that surrounds you.

I think he'd win if he was on the ticket this year. If he didn't pack it in early he would've beat Obama too.

I agree. He would have. Like piles of other establishment republicans. They are theorists and speech givers. They have zero clue about how to fight for what they believe so they get thrashed by dems who are always fighting.

He is the walking reason for Trump loyalists. You get so tired of getting your azz kicked, you latch on to anyone who stands up.

Romney couldn’t stand up to anyone, his goal in life was to be in the DC social club.

He was so antiTrump he lobbied for cabinet positions, and asked for his endorsement.

THEN he found his “morals”

There is a documentary on Polygamists in Mexico, they hang with Romney’s. Interesting watch, even his cousins point out his lack of a spine

Wyosam, it time to stop diverting the blame towards Trump and away from the real conspirators in this country The New Democratic Socialist Party........ You know the guys that are paying folks to burn down this nation and ratchet up the racial hatred all in order to destroy our union. It's the longest organized blame game in the history of humanity with the sole purpose of stealing your nation right out from under you and delivering it into the socialist fold. Think not why else would they all be so aligned on diverting the nation from the true facts involving the Russian Collusion Mess, IG report, Durham investigation, pandemic, and the nest elections legal voting and 3.5 years of misleading stories from their complicit press.

You really think electing an acting member of the cabal is in Americas best interest? Biden and Obama were both part on that little fiasco and we now know they knew as fact. Grizz is locked in his own stupidity and lacks the logic of a three year old, but you're much smarter and able to see thru the charade.

Trump's the only answer we have on the ballot to try to save the union. Biden is set to deliver us into the socialist fold to carry out Obama's plan. Is that what you want for your kids? Putting the party with known socialist's into control of this country isn't a winning formula to sustain our nation as the founders originally intended. In all honesty I'd go with the flip flopper we know wants to save the nation not the one that conspired to undercut the peoples choice with complete disregard of our laws and constitution. Some how while we don't see eye to eye on everything I know you believe the law and many of the principles this country was founded upon.
