Well I am fortunate enough that the military stationed me here in utah. I have been out so much trying to find an area to hunt for the general archery elk but with no luck. I am planning on going on a pack in hunt. Just trying to see if anyone would want to lend a hand on areas I might be able to check out. I am not asking for a honey hole just a little info would be awesome. Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone who is going this year.

Try the wilderness area out of the west fork of the blacks fork off of the north slope of the uintahs. We hunt rifles but that country should be a good hunt in the late summer for archery

I,ve spent alot of time running around the North Slope. Even killed my muzzleloader bull up there last fall. Only a few miles from the West Fork of the Blacks Fork. There are elk there but dont expect to see alot of them. For a guy willing to spend the time and put on the miles it should be a good hunt. My son drew the early youth elk tag this year and thats the general area im thinking about starting in just because I know the country fairly well. The south slope has a larger herd and may be a better bet if your starting from scratch.
