UNIT 102-104 ELK

Trying to get a feel for a cow elk hunt in one of these units.Having not been there really wanted some help if possible.Since i will be DIY, what are the chances most elk will be on private or needing horses to get too. I would like to try a cow hunt first and these tags are cheaper.Any thoughts.

You will find plenty of elk on public land and you should not need horses. Good area. Turns into a very easy hunt if the weather is right. Good luck and have fun.

Hey thanks for the advice.I'm lookin forward to wyoming soon as I have enjoyed the antelope there.
