Unit 14

I feel for the folks down in the Riggins area. The Teepee Springs fire crossed the main Salmon and is blazing north .In my own selfishness,I'm pissed that I finally drew unit 14 mule deer and now the unit is being burnt to a crisp.There is an evacuation order now from North of Time Zone Bridge to Slate Creek. and a notification north to Whitebird! I never thought in my wildest dreams that they would let that fire get out of the Hazard Drainage.

I'm feeling your pain also! Pretty positive it burnt Slate Creek and a little across from gravel bar area two years ago when I had the tag and there wasn't a deer to be seen in the burnt area.
