Unit 15 January deer

I drew 15 for deer in January. Don't know much about the unit. Trying to decide whether to go hunting or not. Is this a good tag?

Go hunting without a doubt. There are some very nice deer in that area but not very many deer. I will let you know if we see any deer after our elk hunt. We leave next tuesday. Good luck hunting.

yea there are some good deer in there, i worked up there for the forest service summer before last, i would reccomend up around mangus or down toward ol horse springs, is where i saw the most you should do ok, good luck

Stay in the low country in that unit during january.

Yeah 15 is good but as mentioned above , not as many deer. I agree with staying low , but also know that Fox Mtn. is a great area in January for the bow hunt. It's not in the low country , but holds pretty good numbers of deer and theres always bucks there rutting the doe....Pretty good tag for sure , and yes , go hunt....Larry

Thanks for all your advice. I will go scouting in December so all your advice will help me out. There's alot of private land in that unit in the low country it seems.
