Unit 16 deer rifle

This is my first hunt in unit 16. My hunt is first rifle. I've done some scouting. The only thing that came out of it was a flat tire. I drove loco my road from Winston to mogollon. I seen a lot of potential. I've been on google earth like crazy.
What's the best way to get to snow lake with a camper? ( coming from lLas Cruces)
I've read slot about southern 16B, 16E, and a little bit about A & C.

Main thing is I want meat for the freezer. I would like to shoot a mature mule deer.

Best way is to reserve then to negrito mostly paved, then south to snow lake. It's about 6 hrs pulling a trailer. I wouldn't pull a trailer thru Mogollon

Yeah, after willow creek. I was thinking. How in the heck do people get trailers out here. Thanks for the input.

I second what Muleman said. I have pulled a toyhauler in there twice from L.C. And I take the long way around through Reserve. An added bonus is the option to refuel in Reserve.

Do you go around to Reserve from the west or the east from Las Cruces.

I go to Deming, Silver City, Reserve. I normally camp on FR142 a few miles before the turn to Snow Lake. It is about an hour from Reserve for me pulling a short Toy hauler

Thanks for the heads up. I don't think I will be staying at snow lake. But I was going To stay all g the road. Is there any streams on the way? Or do you know if there are any streams in C? Just looking for a place to maybe do a little fly fishing while I'm in there.

Yeah, best bet for that would be below the Snow Lake dam.
