Unit 18

Has anyone hunting 18 since the fire last year that is willing to share some info about conditions. I drew a 3rd season deer tag there and am just trying to find out as much about the current state before I head over. This is the first time hunting this area so I'm not sure of how many places there are to set up a camp but I see that some of the roads are closed to camping. I'm assuming due to either danger from falling trees or flooding areas. Mostly looking for decent areas to camp and areas that had good growth come back this year.

The east side of 18 is basically 100% burned…like torched black, no feed, charcoal. I hunted 2nd season this year and drove through it. The west side along the 18 border has some decent camp spots on the south and east public sides of Troublesome Valley Ranch, depending on what you’re camping in.
