Unit 22 Elk

Has anyone hunted unit 22 elk? I drew the tag and have been there several times in the past but not during the actual season. I know the unit a little and have completed tons of research prior to obtaining the tag. Just curious as to the hunting pressure from the deer hunters and size of bulls shot. Any input would be appreciated. I have horses and know the unit is roadless and nasty. Gotta love that.

good area, good bulls, lots of elk near the bottom that run around the base. archery is a good option where the creeks leave the mountain. deer season opens after elk is done. elk area 111 opens 2 days after 22, elk will be pushed off of bear mtn opening day of 111, wait in the gap. stay off the north side. south east and west are good. they will be in the desert to.
