Unit 26 Public Ground

Good afternoon folks...reaching out for a little information here, assuming anyone is willing to share some.

A friend, my dad, and myself have Unit 26 antelope tags, bought leftover. We paid a small trespass fee and spent 5 days with bows in hand on some private ground in August without any success...lots of goats, TONS of water.

The landowner only allows bowhunters, we knew this going in, no big deal.

We'd like to head back up (we're from Utah) with the rifles, and are wondering about public land access in Unit 26. We're not looking for giant bucks, just looking for some public ground to hunt.

Any help with locations would be much appreciated, I know the unit is full of private ground, which we also knew going in.

Looks like the west side of the unit has some accessible land. You will need to buy some maps or a GPS chip.

I've heard guys talk about the GPS chips...something you add to a Garmin, etc??

I wouldn't hunt without one in areas and states I don't know $100.00 well worth it to know you are where you think you are. (usually a few mistakes I've found)
