Unit 272 sheep hunt!

I know the chances are slim but looking for any info. on this unit. My buddy drew this year and is looking for any advice. It's gonna be a tough hunt but I know he's up to it. Thank you!

My buddy had this unit two years ago, unit from hell. If at all possible try to get to the east side along the lake at Driftwood cove or Cormorant Cliffs. Saw a few big rams couldnt get close though. Another area is Garden Spring north to Immagrant Canyon. Its all tuff hunting. We started on the west side and worked our way east. It seemed the closer we got to the lake the more rams we say, too little too late for us.

Looked up the Stats on NDOW page:

2005 One Succesful Area (Whitney Pockets)
2006 One Succesful (unsuccesful us) Area Whitney Pockets 168 7/8
2007 One Succesful Area (Not Known yet)114 1/8


I would Google Earth the Whitney Pockets and check them out. It seems the last 3 or 4 Years the person who did fill thier Tag did so in the Whitney Pockets.
