Unit 40 3rd Rifle

I think I have enough points to draw this tag this year (non-res). I know there is quite a bit of private land in this unit. My dads friend has drawn this same hunt several times over the past 10-15 years, and always seems to connect on a nice buck on sections of public land. Last year though, he drew and did not find many decent bucks. He ended up killing a small 4 point. My question is whether you guys that know the unit better than I, feel that the quality is still there? Should I consider other units? It will be a 3 person hunt with myself, my brother, and my dad. I believe we have 5 points. Thanks in advance

weather dependent, next years dates would be better.

Based on next years calendar dates, it should be the best hunt for third season for the next couple of years.
