I've talked with Bighorn Outfitters at the Denver ISE this January. He lives in the area around Deer Haven Lodge but I don't have any personal experience with them.

Rusty sold out and I don't know anything about they guys who bought his outfit. Todd Jones seems to do a good job from what I've heard.

You can hunt 45 pretty easy DIY from Deer Haven . but I think your chances at a bigger bull are better with an outfitter especially if conditions are such that going into the Scapegoat would be an advantage.

fyi, the guy that bought Rusty (A Double J) out was a guide for him for 7 years from what he told me at the show and he lives right near Deer Haven.

The name of the new outfitter is Big Horn outfitters hunted with them last fall A+ outfit

Hands down Todd Jones, he'll pack you back into the wilderness and get away from the crowds. Plus they have a high success rate on nice mature Bulls.

+1 for Todd Jones. I hunted with him about 5 years ago and will hunt with him again when i draw. He's a great outfitter that is as ethical as they come.
