Unit 54 Elk Summer Range

I'm hoping to get some information on where the 54 winter elk are coming from that show up on the west end of the unit near the 93 highway? I have had the pleasure of being in 54 for late deer and usually there is an abundant elk herd wintered over there but I'm not sure if they are moving north from Nevada or west to lower ground. Maybe they are resident elk because I haven't been in the unit until the snow flies, maybe all of the above?

I think those are Nevada bulls coming out of the 72-75 units
