Unit 741

Hey,

Could you guys give me a brief summary of 741 for deer. I know it is almmost all private and Indian Land. Is there quite a few deer and a fair amount of trophy animals? What is the terrain like?

A friend of mine hunts a private farm that is surrounded by Indian land. Sees some real wallhangers!

I'm also looking at 741. I have potential access to one place, but they do allow other hunters. Can a person find a place to hunt for a reasonable trespass fee? Is it too late to start looking now?

Any additional thoughts will be appreciated.

As you stated, most of 741 is private. If you have acess to some ground there I would not hesitate to go. I have hunted that area many times. We have taken some great mule deer and decent Elk from there. Our best was a 235 NT and a few in the 190 range.
