Unit 78 elk

Anybody know anything about unit 78 south of Jackson for a December hunt?

Can't help a lot, but I did hunt it about 8 years ago. Back then it was really about getting access. We shot several bulls over a period of a couple of years on the Walton ranch. He was very easy to work with and a nice guy. We saw a few nice ones (330ish) but the biggest we took was about 300. One friend did shoot a bull that would have gone 350ish but was broke off right after the third point on one side. Still a neat bull to harvest. Elk were pretty easy to find as they migrated. We hunted mostly in November. In December you may have a few leave the refuge. If you can get access it really is not that difficult of a hunt.
