To All: I know some of you are aware of the legislation Senator Reid (Nevada) has introduced. There is a brief explanation of what a coalition of Nevada sportsmen are trying to due in the message below.

After investigating what is going on in Nevada I am convinced we need to immediately support this measure . Please send this to as many people as possible! We need to make contacts with all of our congressmen and both senator McCain and Kyl. ESPECIALLY SENATOR McCAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

Mike Bertoldi is a sportsman activist and very creditable. Do not hesitate to contact him if you have questions.
The Coalition for Nevada's Wildlife has been successful in getting our senior Senator Harry Reid to co-sponsor legislation with Senator Stevens from Alaska which would exempt game tags and licenses from interstate commerce laws and allow states to regulate them as they have in the past. In an attempt to get this through congress before the holiday recess it is imperative that we get as much support as possible from other congressional delegations, specifically senior leaders from the majority. We are thinking that getting Senators McCain and Domenici are critical to support this bill. Knowing how strongly you all feel about this we are hoping to solicit you help. This is a chance to reverse what has happened. Please contact Michael and let him know how or if you can help or with any questions or comments. Time is of the essence!

Dear Outdoor Enthusiast:

As a response to a recent decision by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Senate Bill 2978 has been introduced by Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada. This bill would allow states, rather than the courts, to regulate hunting and fishing.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department's ability to regulate hunting and fishing, and maintain resident advantage was recently abridged by the unprecedented decision of the 9th Circuit in Montoya v. Shroufe. The department's biggest asset in accomplishing its mission is the public support that engaged residents are uniquely positioned to provide. While the department welcomes nonresident hunters, maintaining resident hunting opportunities is one of the best ways to support conservation.

If you have an opinion regarding this legislation, please contact your Arizona senators.

We appreciate your continued support of the department's wildlife conservation efforts.

Greg, thanks for posting this. I put a couple other posts up regarding this issue and surely hope everyone jumps on this pronto. Time is of the essence if we want to retract the damage done to AZ and what will happen to the rest of the west....... Thanks, Allen Taylor......

Allen,

Thanks for the reply, it's kind of like people that do not vote, they think that their single voice doesn't make a difference. Or they may be too lazy to make an effort to voice an opinion. Then get mad when the liberals take away our rights and opportunities. If this post will make it easier for at least one person to voice their opinion than that's great!

Allen, you are very active on sportsman's issues that affect all of us, the sport that we all love so much. We appreciate your heads up and also the information you continually provide. Great Job and thanks again,

Greg
