Pretty happy with my first archery antelope. Would you guys have tagged this on the opener like I did?

Great Archery buck. I'm pretty sure he would make Pope and Young Book.
The photo with the buck laying and your bow on it's back is killin it!
Well done Lilbrookie!

Thanks littlebighorn, I love that picture too. Luckily my brother has an eye for that kinda stuff. I'll be the first to tell you I'm far from an official scorer and this was my first stab at scoring a pronghorn. I came up with 76 gross 74 net. I believe P&Y is 67. When I get him back I think I'll look into getting it taped by an expert. Regardless of what he comes out to be I'm stoked on that buck!

Everyone has answered your question already but I'll chime in:

Heck yes, I'd shoot that buck on the opener. I'd even shoot him a day before opener. LOL-JK

He's actually a pretty good Pronghorn-HOG in my book!

Well done!

Thanks for chiming in Zeke

Congrats! Getting me pumped up for my trip next week, heading to San Rafael N. I hope I can find one that heavy!

Congrats on an awesome buck with character! Even better, you took him with a bow!

Tell us a little about the hunt. Are you still in the water or was this is spot and stalk? I’d love to hear some details.
